    • 3). Right-click the unallocated space next to "C:" and click "New Partition." Click "Primary Partition."

    • 4). Type in "Recovery" for the Partition label, and leave all other fields as they are. Type in 10,240 MB for the "Partition Size" and select "NTFS" as the "File System." Click "OK" and the partition will be created. Note that the new partition will be called the "J:" drive.

    • 5). Open Norton Ghost by clicking "Start," then "Programs," then "Norton," then "Norton Ghost." Click "Backup" within Norton Ghost.

    • 6). Click "Back Up Now" and then select "New Recovery Point." Save the "Recovery Point" to your "J:" drive rather than your "C:" drive. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete creating your Restore Partition with Norton Ghost.
