    • 1). Install the IntelliPoint software on your computer from the installation disc provided with your Microsoft wireless laser mouse or by direct download from the Microsoft support website. (See Resources for download page.) After downloading the appropriate software relating to your specific product, open the downloaded file to begin the software installation Wizard.

    • 2). Follow the installation wizard prompts and restart the computer when asked. Be sure to remove your old PS/2 or wired USB mouse from the computer before the operating system loads. Connect the wireless USB hub for your new mouse to an available USB port on your computer.

    • 3). Wait for your computer to finish setting up the device drivers. A small message bubble should appear on the lower-right side of your screen when the process has completed.

    • 4). Remove the battery cover located on the bottom of your wireless mouse and install the supplied batteries into the device. Replace the battery cover when finished.

    • 5). Press the "Connect" button located on the USB hub, followed by the small "Connect" button located on the bottom of your mouse. Certain wireless Microsoft mouse products may feature an on/off switch located on the bottom as well; be sure that the switch is in the "ON" position before pressing the "Connect" button on the bottom of the mouse.

    • 6). Test the functionality of your Microsoft wireless mouse by moving it around on your mouse pad and checking your computer screen for cursor movement.
