 When you think of Italy, great food is the first thing to spring to mind.
Most well-known for pizza and pasta, the Italian style of eating is luxurious and indulgent, from the first starter to the main courses right through to dessert.
But pizza remains one of the best-loved dishes from Italy, and you can't go wrong with a delicious pizza when making your own Italian styled meals for friends and family.
So here we're going to look at some recipes for making pizza, from the dough through to the baking and the best toppings to choose from.
  Pizza Dough Recipe Ingredients: 1 lb of flour 7 oz of brewers yeast 4 tbsp of olive oil Salt and pepper to taste   Begin by dissolving the yeast in water in a large mixing bowl, and let it stand for about 5 minutes.
Add in the flour and mix it together, either by hand or with a dough hook (if you have one!).
When the dough is smooth and elastic, you're ready for the next stage.
Take another bowl and coat the inside with your olive oil and transfer the dough into it, then cover and allow it to warm for an hour- the inside of the oven should be fine for this, until it has doubled in size.
  Set your oven to around 475 degrees Fahrenheit (250 degrees Celsius), pre-heating it.
As it heats up, prepare yourself a large working area, with a big wooden tray or other surface, and coat with some flour.
Shape the dough into one or more large balls, then spread them out into disks- don't use a roller however, as this will toughen the dough.
  Now you have the pizza dough, you can use it to make whatever pizza you desire! Here's a recipe for a Margherita pizza.
  Margherita Pizza Recipe Ingredients: 18 oz of pizza dough 10.
5 oz of tomato sauce Two mozzarellas (fresh cheese) Basil Extra virgin olive oil Salt and pepper to taste   Season the dough with tomato sauce and small pieces of mozzarella.
Add a pinch of salt, and drizzle plenty of olive oil across the top.
Then place in the oven on a tray with either oil or flour, and bake for up to 25 minutes.
5 minutes before removing from the oven, add on a few more pieces of shredded mozzarella.
Finally, place a pair of basil leaves on top, and then serve up!
