How to Tape & Wire Gerber Daisies
- 1). Sink a thin, strong stake or wire into the soil next to the plant's stem. Be careful not to interfere with the plant's leaves or root system at this time, and don't puncture the stem itself with your stake.
- 2). Gently tie or clip the Gerber daisy stem to the stake. Do not bend or break the stem at this time. Ideal positioning for the clip or tie is at the top of the stem, just underneath the flower.
- 3). For especially long or weak stems, tie in two places, or every couple of inches. Do not tie tightly enough to crease or damage the stem.
