Thirty Days to Live

No Regrets If you had only 30 days left to live, what would you do? Would you change the way you live your life? If you said yes, how would you change it? Would you sell all of your worldly possessions and travel? Would you quit your job and spend the time left with loved ones? It seems somewhat morbid to think about death when it is not seemingly close at hand, but the truth is that we really don't know when our time (or that of our closest friends and relatives) will come.
It is one of the best ways I know to help change my perspective and to focus on those things that are really important to me.
It serves as a means by which to avoid regrets about things you might later wish you had done.
If, in thinking about what you might do if you only had a short time to live, you wish you had been more loving, kind, forgiving, confident, pursued your true passion, worked less, spent more quality time with your family, donated more time or money, laughed more, danced more and loved more, the good news is that you do have time and can do those things now.
By identifying those things that might cause us regrets, we can focus and commit to doing those things that will ensure we will have no regrets.
The point is not to feel badly about the things you have not done or have not been, but to move forward with a renewed enthusiasm for accomplishing the things that will make you happy.
