Contact the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) to register for the licensing examination, which is offered at 225 centers across the United States. They will give you a toll-free number to call to find the most appropriate center for you. - 2). Download the appropriate study guides for the CDR examinations from the Commission on Dietetic registration website. Study the information, and take the test at the center you registered with.
- 3). Take a two-hour Prevention of Medical Errors course, which is available throughout Florida. Find an approved course provider on the Florida Department of Health website under "CE Broker--Providers and Licensees."
- 4). Go to the Florida Dietetics & Nutrition Practice Council website, and download and print the PDF file of the application form.
- 5). Complete the form and send it to the address provided. Required with the application are a recent 2-by-2-inch photograph of yourself, your Social Security number and fees: a $100 nonrefundable application processing fee; a $175 initial licensure fee; and a $5 unlicensed activity fee, as of August 2010.
