    Food and Cake

    • Plan the shower during the late morning or early afternoon when lunch time is upon the office. When planning the shower, you can either request a small donation from employees to help with food costs, or you can supply the food yourself. Simple deli sandwiches with basic sides of vegetables, fruit and chips will keep the cost low and your guests full until it is time to go home. In addition, you want food items that are simple to prepare and require no reheating or serving; most office showers are only 45 to 60 minutes in length. Set up a buffet-style arrangement for guests to help themselves to food as they enter the shower.
The cake will follow the lunch buffet and should reflect the bride's wedding colors. If a standard sheet cake or tier cake is too much work, then consider ordering cupcakes to hand out to guests.

    Refreshments

    • Include a variety of refreshments for guests to drink during the shower. While alcohol will probably not be allowed at the office party, you can offer guests a variety of sodas, lemonade, tea and water. Set up a separate table next to the food table, and place ice buckets, cups, sugar and drinks for guests to help themselves.

    Decorations

    • Plan the decorations in advance in case you have to obtain approval from management. Look for simple decorations that include wedding bells, streamers and balloons. These decorations are inexpensive and easy to clean up. In addition, you can personalize the streamers and balloons with the new couple's last name or a simple “Congratulations.”

    Games

    • Arrange games to play during the shower. These games may include bridal bingo, where the guests fill a bingo chart with items they feel the bride received within her presents. Every time the bride opens a gift that is on the bingo sheet, players cross it out. Another game to play is chewing gum questions. This game involves asking the bride a series of questions about her fiance and then comparing them to the right answers, which are supplied by the groom. Wrong answers require the bride to chew a piece of gum until the game is complete. The more questions she gets wrong, the more gum will be in her mouth.
