How to Paint Brick Homes
- 1). Trim vegetation and low-hanging branches that may interfere with the painting process, using hedge trimmers.
- 2). Wash the brick home, using a pressure washer. Wait for the brick to dry.
- 3). Coat the brick with an acrylic latex primer, using a roller. Wait two hours for the primed brick home to dry.
- 4). Wash your painting instruments with water.
- 5). Cut the tip from a tube of acrylic caulk, using a razor blade. Load the tube into a caulking gun. Seal holes and cracks in the brick, using the caulking gun. Wait a full day for the caulk to dry.
- 6). Coat the primed brick with an acrylic latex paint, using a roller. Wait two hours for the painted brick home to dry.
