How to Decorate a Party Room With Balloons

    • 1). Blow up three to seven balloons with helium, depending on the size of the desired bouquet. Do not inflate them fully and ensure that they are of equal size. Tie a knot at the end of each balloon. Next, cut and attach 3 feet of ribbon onto each one. Make the central balloon's ribbon 1.5 feet longer than the others.

    • 2). Pass the first ribbon through the table weight and secure. Repeat this step with a second balloon. Place the second one slightly higher and barely touching the first. Once the balloons are in an acceptable arrangement, secure ribbons to the base.

    • 3). Attach the feature balloon, Mylar or latex, to the base. Allow it to be higher than the two previous balloons. Continue in the same manner with the remaining balloons until the bouquet is complete.

    • 4). Finish the bouquet by curling the ribbon ends from the base. With an open pair of scissors, draw an entire ribbon length along the side of the blade. Place balloon bouquets on tables for centerpieces or give as a gift.

    Floating Clouds

    • 1). Measure and cut a length of filament to the desired finished height of the balloon cloud formation. To do this, add an extra foot of filament.

    • 2). Blow up pearl or white balloons. Knot each balloon and tie to a length of filament with 2 feet of the line loose.

    • 3). Join two inflated balloons together at the knotted end. Repeat this step to fashion a second pair. Create a balloon cluster by connecting the pairs together at the knotted ends.

    • 4). Attach a singular balloon to the cluster's center by pulling the filament attached to this balloon through the junction of the other clustered four balloons. Secure it by binding all of the balloons with the line. Repeat in an alternating pattern until fixed firmly and knot.

    • 5). Repeat the above steps to craft a second cluster of balloons. Bundle the second group under the first cluster of four. Affix the two clusters at their knotted end until firmly tethered. Trim any loose lines.

    • 6). Suspend the balloon clouds by knotting filament around the bottom cluster, positioning one balloon toward the floor. Either let them float freely or attach to a chair or other anchored piece of furniture. Link balloon clouds together with tulle swags for a more dreamy effect.
