5 Ways to Remove Ink Stains
Ink is everywhere and whether you had a pen spill all over your shirt, or maybe a tiny pen dropped on your shirt and left a tiny dot.
Whatever it might be, you're going to find out that you're going to want to remove it.
No matter what the case is, I wanted to give you 5 steps that you can take today when you're looking to remove ink from your clothing.
Tip #1 Test it with hair spray - Yes, you can spray hair spray on your ink stain and it may dissolve the ink.
This isn't going to work all the time but has worked for some.
Let it sit there and throw it in the wash later in the day.
Tip #2 Try rubbing alcohol - The number one rule with ink stains is that you don't want to rub the ink stain.
Instead, you're going to want to dab it.
First, grab a paper towel and absorb the ink.
Just dab, don't spread.
After that, grab some rubbing alcohol and apply it either to a cotton swab or paper towel.
Proceed to rub it out.
Tip #3 Try stain removers - There are a lot of stain removers on the market.
Some kits such as the "Tide to Go", as well as others claim to remove ink.
While many are duds, there are some good ones.
Find the greatest rated ones online and see if they work for you.
Tip #4 Soak your clothes in milk - Sounds silly but it has worked for some.
Grab a little milk, pour it in a bowl, and let your clothes sit in it for a while.
After it comes out, dab it with a towel to allow it to dry and proceed to run it through the wash.
Tip #5 Use toothpaste - The last one on my list that has worked for some as well is by applying toothpaste.
What you're going to want to do is apply toothpaste to the stain and let it sit there.
Upon letting it sit there, do the same thing with the milk and let it sit there and proceed to dry it out.
These are only a few of the tips that you can use.
Test them out and see what works the best for you.
What you're going to find out is that it's not going to work for everyone.
Try stain removers as well as more to hopefully remove that stain!
