Do you ever find that you get occupied with something and end up forgetting that you have to eat? It might be unintentional, but it really is a habit you must break in order to keep your body from getting super hungry.

When you do allow yourself to get hungry beyond control, you're likely to care less about what you eat and end up picking up something that may not be beneficial to your health, diet, or weight loss goals. It's important for you to graze or eat throughout the day. Not only to reduce hunger pains but also to keep your energy levels up and nourish your body with the nutrients it needs to function properly.

There are so many healthy snacks out there and it is kind of up to you to choose which ones you like the best. When choosing your snacks make sure you try to keep it as whole as possible. Meaning there's little no processed foods.

With that's said here are 10 quick, simple and nutritious snacks you can try to curb your hunger between meals. Use them as a guide to help you create your own, enjoyable snacks just make sure you keep your portions in check.

1. Carbonated water with grapefruit, orange, pineapple, apple or cranberry juice. (This can work with any time of juice - choose the one you prefer and enjoy)

2. Hot or cold water with a fresh slice of lemon, lime or orange. (Really comforting on cold days)

3. Celery, carrot and radish sticks. (Fabulous with low fat dip)

4.Veggie bag. First chop up some red, yellow, and green peppers and toss them into the Ziploc bag. Next, chop up a cucumber and throw that in the bag along with a few cherry tomatoes.

5. Washed and trimmed string beans, runner beans and asparagus.

6. Fruit salad - Slices of oranges, pears, apples, peaches and chunks of pineapple. (Choose your favorite fruits and then dump them all together in a bowl - add a few splashes of your favorite juice to bring the natural flavors together.)

7. Air popped pop-corn made with seasonings and no salt or butter. If you want flavor try spices like cumin, cinnamon, or dill.

8. Frozen chocolate square. Have a few chocolate squares in your freezer. When you get a sweet tooth craving, instead of chewing on it, let it melt in my mouth. This way you can enjoy a small piece for a longer period of time.

9. Rice cakes with peanut butter. (A great treat that will fill you up and satisfy your need to eat)

10. Trail mix consisting of - Almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, raisins, dried cranberries peanuts and chocolate m&m's. (You can turn this into a cereal as well)

So there you go 10 quick simple and healthy snacks. Hopefully this has given you some ideas to create your own snacks. It's all about being creative, once you start looking outside of the box you'll be able to add so much more variety into your eating.
