    2001 Cruiser Models

    • In 2001 Honda had thirteen cruiser motorcycles, including the 2001 Honda GL1500C Valkyrie, a custom bike known as the king of cruisers. It features a 1520cc six cylinder engine that is liquid cooled and tuned for power and cruising comfort.     • There were ten Honda Sports Model Motorcycles made in 2001. They were the Honda ST1100A ABS, Honda ST1100, Honda CBR100XX Super Blackbird, Honda RVT1000R RC51 (VTR1000S), Honda VTR1000F Firestorm, Honda CBR954RR Fireblade, Honda VFR800FI Interceptor, Honda CBR600F4i, Honda Nighthawk 750 and the Honda Nighthawk 250. Of these, the 2001 Honda ST1100A ABS motorcycle was the most versatile sport motorcycle available. It features the LBS (Linked Braking system) combined with the ABSII (Anti-Lock Brake System) which gives you improved braking control. The LBS employs a second master cylinder and a control valve to couple the calipers of the single rear and dual front disc brakes. Using the handlebar lever or the foot pedal you can activate all three calipers.

    2001 Dual Sport Model

    • The Honda XR650L was the only dual sport model motorcycle that Honda brought out in 2001. It features a 644cc SOHC four stroke engine. It has RFVC (Radial Four Valve Combustion Chamber) providing added combustion. It uses a push button start feature and a quiet muffler that uses free flowing two into one exhaust system technology.
