Creeping Bellflower Seeds
Growth Habit
- Creeping bellflower plants reproduce from seed and from the vigorously spreading root system. The creeping growth habit of this plant fits well with its common name. This perennial grows up to 4 feet tall with long flower stalks. Purple bell-shaped flowers appear along the flower stalk in summer, commonly between July and September. Each flower is self-fertile, as it has male and female genetic material. Bees, flies and beetles further aid in pollination, necessary for seed development.
