A large variety of oils is used for different needs, be it medicinal or culinary. To maintain good health, it is important to intake healthy fats that are found in cooking oils. Sunflower Oil
It is one of the most popular cooking oils. Made from sunflower seeds, it is mainly used for cooking, baking and frying. It is low in saturated fat and high in Vitamin E. It is considered healthy cooking oil and is widely used in the preparation of snack foods such as potato chips.

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is made from the fruit of coconut palm tree. It is mainly used for light and finely flavored dishes. It is also used for making popcorns and hash browns. Coconut oil is rich in fatty acids and helps in improving the level of cholesterol in the body. It also kills bacteria and pathogens.

Mustard Oil
It is derived from rapeseeds, once the uric acid present in the seeds is removed. The fatty acid breakdown of this oil is good and it contains omega 3 and omega 6. This cooking oil goes through harsh processing before being converted into the final product.

Sesame Oil
Having high anti-oxidant content, sesame oil is derived from the seeds of the sesame plant. Unrefined sesame oil is used as a flavor component in sauces and dressings. Refined sesame oil is used for high heat cooking such as frying and toasting.

Peanut Oil
Made from peanuts, peanut oil has high monounsaturated content which makes it healthy for heart. It is mainly used for light saut©ing and frying fries and other food items.

Rice Bran Oil
It is extracted from the hard outer brown layer of rice after chaff. It is suitable for high temperature cooking such as stir frying and deep frying. The active constituents of this oil improve blood cholesterol by reducing total plasma cholesterol.

Corn Oil
Mostly corn oil is extracted from the germ of the corn kernel which is golden yellow in color. This oil variety is used in salad dressings and dips which have stronger flavors like pepper or garlic. It is used in both frying and baking. Corn oil is low in both saturated and mono unsaturated fats.
