Close the window on the K1500's door. Pry the window and lock switches out of the K1500's door panel using a trim tool. Disconnect both switches from the body harness manually.

Remove the screws from the door panel using a Phillips screwdriver. Insert the tip of the trim tool between the door panel and the K1500's door and then pry the panel off the door, working your way around the panel's perimeter with the trim tool until the entire panel is free.

Lift the K1500's door panel up off the door by hand to gain access to the door's interior. Remove the retaining clip that holds the door lock tumbler to the K1500's door handle, inside the door, using the trim tool.

Remove the lock tumbler from the door handle by hand. Insert the new lock tumbler into the door handle. Snap the retaining clip over the new lock tumbler manually.
