Leaders Verses Robbers

Everyone wishes to become leader as leaders are highly valued in the society.
People remember leaders, make their statues and worship them like God.
Yet there seems to be not much competition to become a leader.
Most people in the modern world no not wish to become a leader of their country.
Most of the intelligent and capable people choose not to become leaders.
They are happy to become teachers, businessman, scientist, entrepreneurs and even employees of a soap selling company.
Most children do not wish to take politics as their carrier and abhor the leaders.
The reason why leadership is not an easy job is not difficult to comprehend.
Unlike other professions, where you can attain even the top position by your merit, you cannot become a leader unless you have the support of a great number of followers.
People are never willing to follow any person as they do not consider themselves inferior to anyone.
Yet a leader has to attract people towards him if he has to become a leader.
Most often than not, people are attracted towards the leader only when he promises something to them which is otherwise not due to them.
Thus if you promise a poor student a job, he may follow you since he has no hope of getting a job on merit.
The meritorious person does not need a leader for getting the job as his qualification can anyway give him a job.
He is not willing to follow anyone for getting a job.
Thus a leader has to take the job of some deserving person and offer it to an undeserving person if he wishes to have following.
This is lot similar to robbing when you take away the legitimate wealth of a person forcefully.
The leaders do precisely the job of a robber for getting the followers.
Hence every politician in a democratic country robs the rights of the minority for the sake of majority as he wins on their votes.
Thus the perspective leader of every democratic country has to promise to stop outsourcing so that the jobs may come to the local people.
He has to promise to stop immigration so that more jobs are available to their own countryman.
This is the tale of all leaders irrespective of the nationality and the area of operation.
They have to deliver some undue benefit to their people in order to get their support.
It is far this reason that most intellectual and ethical people often cannot become good leaders while people like Hitler become very popular as they can promise moon to their people.
Except in the time crisis, people do not want to follow a leader who is just and good.
They prefer to follow the leader who can give them maximum benefit by hook or by crook.
Therefore, it is no wonder that we have so many crooks as leaders.
Even when we sometime, find a good leader, we gradually discover that he was actually a crook.
The fault lies not in the leader but in the nature of human beings who wants to assemble behind the leader only to rob others.
A man who refuses to rob others, often fail to be accepted as leader.
