How to Stop a Screensaver From Going Back to User Logon

    Windows 7

    • 1). Click the "Start" button in the bottom left corner of your Windows desktop. Click "Control Panel" in your Start menu.

    • 2). Enter "screen saver" in the Control Panel search box on the left side of the screen. Click "Set screen saver password" in the list.

    • 3). Click the check box beside "On resume, display logon screen" to clear the selection. Click "OK."

    Windows Vista

    • 1). Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner of your desktop. Click "Control Panel."

    • 2). Select "Appearance and Personalization." Click "Personalization" and then click "Screen Saver."

    • 3). Click the box beside "On resume, require logon" to clear the selection. Click "Apply" to save the changes.
