How to Create My Own Flower Invitations
- 1). Choose card stock in colors that match the silk flowers. Consider using card stock with glitter or texture to add extra style to the invitations.
- 2). Place a sheet of card stock into the slot on a large paper punch and push the button down to cut out the flower shape.
- 3). Write the party information on the paper flowers. Use colored markers or felt-tip pens for added decoration. Include a title, such as "Join Us for a Garden Party" or "You are Invited to a Garden Tea Party." Add party details, including the host's name, the date, time and location.
- 4). Place a few glue dots on the back of the paper flowers. Attach a card stock flower to the center of each silk flower, allowing the silk petals to form a border around the card stock. Use silk flowers that are at least one inch larger than the card stock.
- 5). Embellish the flower by adding miniature gemstones or sequins to the petals. Use a glue stick to attach the embellishments to the paper flower. You could also add glitter or lightweight beads as well.
- 6). Place the flower invitations into square envelopes and prepare for hand delivery or mailing.
