How to Sew a Wet Wipes Holder
- 1). Measure the size of your travel baby wipes case. Cut two lengths of fabric that are 2 inches wider than this case and twice the length plus 5 extra inches.
- 2). Pin the two pieces of fabric together with right sides facing. Sew around three of the four seams, leaving one short seam open. Make your seam 1/2 inch in from the outside edge.
- 3). Turn the fabric pieces right side out and iron them to flatten out the corners and edges. Fold down the open seam by 1/2 inch and 1/2 inch again, pin and sew.
- 4). Hold the end with the seam you just finished sewing and fold it up toward the other end, stopping five inches short of the top edge. Pin the pieces of fabric together in this position and sew the two side seams. Leave the top seam open; this will form the pocket for your wipes holder.
- 5). Turn the fabric pocket right side out and sew a strip of Velcro to the inside of the top flap and another strip in a coordinating spot on the front of the pocket. Place the travel baby wipes case and a diaper or two inside the pouch for giving as a gift for the mother to be, securing the Velcro to close the wet wipes case.
