Agel is a multi level marketing company that has entered an already crowded health and wellness field.
The brainchild of Glen Jensen way back in 2004 was to deliver a product that was different from any other product out there and this is a nutritional supplement in the form of a gel.
The idea behind it is that by using suspension gel technology, it delivers a powerful dosage of the correct vitamins and minerals needed to maintain your body's vitality.
Agel is produced in 4 different categories, these are Gel Cueticals, Gel strips, Gel Care and Topical gels.
To join the company you first have to register an activation order which costs $35.
For this you get a starter kit, training CD's and back office training.
This allows you to have a company activation number.
You then get the chance to purchase 2 different entry packages.
These are the personal pack, which is for people who simply want to retail to friends and family as well as for their own personal use, priced at $250 or the executive pack.
This is for the serious business owner who intends to make money from the promotion and sales of Agel to build leverage and duplication.
The price of this is $1000.
The compensation plan is described as being "extremely clever" and is known as the Quadra plan.
It offers 10 levels of income streams including, first order bonuses and team order commissions.
In reality it is a binary tree structure which means that you have a maximum of 2 legs and of these 2 legs, you will only receive commissions on your lesser or weaker leg.
This is said to reward those who work really hard, and on the whole, the compensation plan does exactly what it says on the box! However where the company have been clever is that if you want to earn the big bucks, they encourage you through the compensation plan, to buy the more expensive executive package, because this is where the greater earning potential, and indeed, the larger bonuses lie.
If you choose to purchase the other package, you can make money but your earning potential will indeed be limited.
On the whole Agel is not a scam as the products have been generally well received, but they may not be for everyone.
The steps that the company teach seem a little archaic, i.
e.
building your warm (top 100) list, showing the business plan etc.
However if this is the way you prefer to work, then that is great.
It is simply a case of what works for you.
