Sonoma County New Year
Here are some of the festivities planned around Sonoma County to help you greet 2009.
Decadance New Year's Groove at Latitude
Several Bay Area DJs are joining forces to bring Decadence to Sonoma County. From the looks of it, it seems like the crowd from Burning Man and from Santa Rosa’s Handcar Regatta will be partying here, so be prepared for an artsy bend to the festivities. The celebration is being held at Latitude in Rohnert Park (next to the Doubletree Hotel) which features a waterfront nightclub, two dance floors and outdoor fire pits (which I’m sure will come in handy). And as far as the sound goes, the emphasis is on a rich sound rather than just plain loud—now, that’s civilized. Plus, there’s free gourmet hors d’oeuvres and free Champaign at midnight. Funky/formal dress is suggested.
