Spacing of Raspberry Bushes
- 1). Select a planting area that receives full sunlight for 6 to 8 hours per day. Raspberries need full sun to thrive. Create a raised planting bed to increase drainage if your soil retains water.
- 2). Place your raspberry plants in row with 2 to 3 feet between each plant. Reducing the space between the plants may hinder berry production or suffocate plant roots.
- 3). Create multiple rows, if necessary, with 10 feet between each row.
- 4). Add supports, if necessary, for large-growth bushes. Keep weeds out of the areas between the plants for best plant health and berry production.
