103 61
So you've been dumped and you are heartbroken.
Not only heartbroken, but completely emotionally devastated and you feel like your entire life is over.
You want your ex back so much, and are willing to do anything to have that happen.
ANYTHING! The phone rings and it is your ex looking for a booty call.
You do it.
Your ex leaves right after.
The wound is ripped open again.
You are right back at square one.
You really need to get your head on straight.
You need to say no! People want what they can't have.
Even if you didn't think you wanted it, if it is unattainable, you want it.
Cut off all communication.
If your ex calls, say you are busy and end the call.
Don't initiate contact.
Avoid going to places your ex likes to frequent.
This is good not only to keep the contact to a minimum, but if your ex has moved on, and you haven't, you may see something you don't want to.
Don't forward e-mails that you know your ex will like.
Don't send an e-card.
For heaven's sake, don't by a gift or flowers or candy.
Don't even think about knocking on their door to say hi! This is just about the worst thing you can do.
Not only that, you are going to look pathetic, and that can't help you at all.
Once you have pulled away, you can focus on you.
Stop thinking about what your ex wants you to be, figure out what you want you to be.
Take the necessary steps to make that happen.
Join a gym, start a hobby, anything you can think of to keep yourself busy.
Pretty soon, you are going to feel like a brand new person.
Once you have been able to distance yourself from the situation, you will have a much better idea if the break up was for the best or not.
