    • 1). Make marks approximately one-half inch apart, around the bottom and top of the oatmeal container. Use a tape measure to ensure the correct distance between the marks.

    • 2). Cut out small grooves or notches between each half-inch mark on both the top and bottom ends of the oatmeal container.

    • 3). Select the starting notch. This can be any notch on the top or bottom of the container. Cut this notch into the container a quarter-inch. Insert the end of your yarn into this notch to secure the yarn in the starting point.

    • 4). Beginning stringing your loom by winding the yarn around the notches, up and down, to create the loom's vertical warp.

    • 5). Create a small slit in one end of the Popsicle stick. Secure the yarn to the slit in the Popsicle stick.

    • 6). Loom your yarn around the container while using the Popsicle stick as a needle for the yarn. Weave the yarn in and out of the vertical warp by going above one vertical yarn piece and underneath the next. Repeat the procedure while going around the container.
