How to Apply Valspar Signature Venetian Plaster Protector
- 1). Move any furnishings out of the room or area containing the plaster walls or ceilings. Place drop cloths or plastic sheeting on the floor.
- 2). Wipe the plaster-covered surface with a soft cloth or rag to remove any loose dust, dirt and debris from the surface.
- 3). Stir the Valspar Signature Venetian Plaster Protector thoroughly with a paint stirrer. Wear work gloves to keep your hands clean.
- 4). Use a large steel spatula to apply a thin and even coat of the protector to the surface. Hold the spatula at a 60 to 90 degree angle.
If you apply too much protector to a certain area of plaster, spread the excess with the spatula or paintbrush to an area that doesn't contain protector or return the excess to the protector's container. - 5). Let the protector dry for one hour before moving furnishings back into the room or area.
