How to Kill Creeping Lily Turf
- 1). Cut or mow the lily turf down to, or as close as possible to, ground level.
- 2). Spray the lily turf with a systemic herbicide once it puts on an inch or two of new growth. Gardening expert Walter Reeves recommends using a glyphosate- or diquat-based herbicide. A hose-end sprayer is ideal for spraying large lawn areas. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application methods, amounts, and mixing instructions.
- 3). Spray the creeping lily turf again, so it receives at least one application in spring, summer, and fall, or whenever it puts on one to two inches of growth. In one or two seasons, the creeping lily turf will stop growing back.
