How to Raise Handlebars on Adult Tricycles
- 1). Examine the base of the handlebars --- where the handlebars mount into the frame --- to see how the handlebars are secured. They will be secured by either a flip-lever or a hex nut.
- 2). Grasp the handlebars and pull the lever to the left to open it if there is a lever that holds the handlebars in place. Pull the handlebars up into the desired position and then close the lever by pulling back to the right into the locked position. If the adult tricycle does not have a lever to hold the handlebars, but a hex nut instead, proceed to the next step.
- 3). Insert the end of the Allen wrench into the nut at the top of the handlebars. Turn the nut to the left until the handlebars come loose. Pull the handlebars up into the desired position and then tighten by turning the Allen wrench back to the right.
