How to Spray Polycrylic
- 1). Prepare the surface by removing the old finish and applying stain or paint, if applicable. Regardless of whether the surface is finished or unfinished, it must be clean and sanded smooth. Wipe off the dust with a slightly damp microfiber cloth.
- 2). Spray the surface with an even layer of Polycrylic. Allow the surface to dry for two hours.
- 3). Sand the first coat of Polycrylic with very fine grit sandpaper and wipe away any dust with a damp microfiber cloth.
- 4). Apply a second coat of Polycrylic, and allow it to dry another two hours, followed by another sanding and a third coat.
- 5). Allow the surface to dry for at least two hours before use.
