New Orleans Art Gallery Openings

Art Galleries all over New Orleans are featuring new exhibits which open on November 6 with receptions. Most of these exhibits will run through the month of November, and some even longer.

French Quarter
In the French Quarter, Hanson Gallery at 229 Royal Street will feature new paintings by Peter Max, and the Windsor Fine Art Gallery at 221 Royal Street will feature Prints from Modern Masters like Picasso, Chagall, Miro, Matisse and Dali.

At the Royal Cameo Glass Gallery located at 322 Royal you can enjoy the works of Afro Celotto. The Martin-Lawrence Galleries at 433 Royal unveils the new "In Adoration of Woman Collection" of Erte.
Warehouse/Arts District

Nearby in the Warehouse District, take a walk on Julia Street and visit the LeMieux Galleries at 332 Julia Street to see two new exhibits featuring landscape themes in different media. The "Narrative Waterscapes" exhibit shows digital landscape photographs by Debra Howell and landscape paintings by Dick Johnson make up the "Suicide Attempts" exhibit. Marguerite Oestreicher Fine Arts Gallery at 720 Julia is showing recent paintings and drawings by Kelli Scott Kelly. There's a group exhibit of typography and graphic design entitled "Visual Aids" at the Radici Gallery located at 603 Julia Street, and the Sylvia Schmidt Gallery at 400A Julia is featuring the paintings of surrealist S. Dawn Davis in an exhibit called "Elements of Illusion." Next door at the Soren Christensen Gallery you will find "Simple Expressions," new paintings by Beth Lambert, and a few blocks away in the Stella Jones Gallery, located in the Place St.

Charles Building at 201 St. Charles Avenue, the watercolors of Richard Yarde are presented.

If furniture is your thing, don't miss the Ariodante Gallery at 535 Julia where you will find "Charish", a show of custom-made chairs, in addition to an art exhibit of paintings by Ines Kramer and jewelry by Jeff Faucheux. Arthur Roger is showing "Crosscurrents", paintings by Alison Stewart in his gallery at 432 Julia. The "Virgo Rising" exhibit at Chateau Margo (614 Julia) is fun with its group show of gallery artists, and the d.o.c.s. Gallery at 709 Camp Street is showing paintings by Diego Larguia in its "Indoor/Outdoor" exhibit.
