The Money Is In the List!
You may have heard this phrase before, "The Money is in the list" and it's true. Just think of the many emails you receive from subscribing to news letters, special reports, affiliate programs and a like. The folks who send you these emails are most likely Internet Marketers and or vendors. Of course, there is always the spammers. Those go into the trash fairly fast. But, the lists you subscribe to are most often read or at least scanned for some relevancy to your interest. The list owners always give you a way of terminating your subscription. This is what separates list owners from spammers.
If you have a website or blog, then you need a way of marketing to your visitors, or at the very least, communicate with them by catering to their interest. Maybe you have a blog and want to let them know when you post a new article that targets their interest in the subject. If you are a website owner selling products you may want to send product announcements or feature a product or service by declaring its benefits. On the other hand, if you are an affiliate with a hot product you wish to market, then it's for sure you need to build a list.
You do not necessary need a website or blog to build a list of email subscribers, practically if you are selling other people's products. I know what you are thinking, "how can I get subscribers if I have no way of capturing an email address and name?"Well, you can buy a list but, you will not own the subscribers or you can sign up for the so called bulk list, but the problem with that is you have to agree to receive emails from everyone on the list and it's hard to determine just how many folks are actually on the list and if you unsubscribe from the list you cannot send emails to the list.
There is a better way to get started building your list of subscriber for no cost. But, to be truly successful, you need to get an auto responder like Aweber.
