Within the state of Georgia, there are several schools that offer degrees and certificates in construction management. Locations include Atlanta, Rome and Statesboro, among other places. Students at Central Georgia Technical College in Putnam County can choose from three different paths to pursue a career in construction management. - Central Georgia Technical College offers courses leading to a certificate in construction management. The program is available to students who have prior coursework in construction fundamentals and carpentry or who have passed a comprehensive carpentry exam. centralgatech.edu - The construction management diploma program prepares students to become field managers or construction project supervisors. Prospective students must have a high school diploma or GED. The program consists of 89 hours of coursework, which includes computer-aided drafting and accounting in addition to construction courses. Upon completion of this program, students will have a background in all areas of construction management and supervision.
- Central Georgia Technical College also offers a program leading to an associate of applied science degree in construction management. The program is 106 hours. This program is for students who want to become project manager supervisors. Students must have a high school diploma or GED to be eligible for the degree program. Courses include accounting, computer-aided drafting, computerized construction scheduling and construction code review.
