How to View Your Student Aid Report
- 1). Visit the FAFSA website. From the homepage, select "FAFSA Follow Up." From that screen, click on "Check Status of a Submitted FAFSA Application." When prompted, enter your Social Security number, first and last name and the year you submitted your application. The FAFSA website will ask you to enter the PIN number that was mailed to you. Enter the PIN number.
- 2). Select "Transaction Number" and pick the FAFSA application you would like to view.
- 3). View information on your report by highlighting and clicking on "SAR Comments." Alternatively, you can select "Print Summary" on the left pane to have a complete, comprehensive view of your SAR. If you did not qualify for any student funding, the SAR will note any relevant reasons. The report will also show ways you can qualify for additional funding. If there are any discrepancies or errors on your SAR, select "Print Summary" and bring a copy of your SAR to your guidance counselor. Once you are done checking your SAR, log out.
