Carnivorous plants have evolved to survive under conditions where the soil is too poor to provide all the nutrients the plant needs. Many species thrive in acidic sphagnum bogs, where most other plants could not thrive. Carnivorous plants supplement the nutrients they receive through photosynthesis by trapping and digesting insects. Learn more about these fascinating life forms through fun online and board games.
