Briggs Valve Guide Tools
- The valves on Briggs and Stratton engines are held in place with springs. The valve spring compressor is designed to remove and replace those springs. It acts like a pair of tongs, only larger and with a specialized tip.
- There are two valve guide expansion pilots available. One is 1/4-inch wide and the other is 5/16-inch wide. These are designed for expanding the valves on Briggs and Stratton's cast iron engines.
- Briggs and Stratton also makes a valve guide reamer. Once the valves are in place, the reamer pushes them so they are set in place. It is meant for the Briggs and Stratton Vanguard engines.
