The 3 Most Harmful Mistakes You Can Commit With a Social Media Strategy

With a virtually infinite number of people (who could be your loyal buyers) on sites like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, ignoring social media is detrimental to the growth of your company.
But, just utilizing these sites does not guarantee you will succeed.
Your company has to make sure you have a strong, working social media strategy.
If you don't have that, you can in reality be committing bad mistakes and harming, instead of helping, your company's growth.
So, how do you tell if a business' strategy is strong and effective? Search for the following 3 common mishaps: 1) Lacking a Social Media Strategy to Help You: Creating a presence on one, or even many social media sites, is just about worthless without a cohesive understanding of what you're doing.
You will not get the exposure you want or achieve your long-term goals if you do not have a strong, executable strategy.
2) Recording the Wrong Metrics or Completely Lacking Measurement: Watch what is happening and see if what you are receiving is critical to business success.
If you desire to find out what works and what does not, you'll have to find out by tracking results.
I suggest you find out what kind of results establish the goals you desire, then track them.
Then place an increased amount of time and resources on improving a strategy that works, while reducing or eliminating the practices that are not effective.
3) Not Having Daily Practices Aligned With Your Goals: Make sure the tasks you are using on your social media presences are aligned with the goals you'd like to accomplish with social networking.
For example, if you're trying to grow your customer base with Twitter, make sure you are engaging in practices every day to build a healthy relationship with your followers and that you use a regular sequence of tweets that turn them into customers and team members.
