For the first time in the history of the UK pop singles chart a song called "Number 1" hits #1.
Eminem has his 14th top 5 single in the UK this week as "We Made You" climbs three notches to #5. Marmaduke Duke, a side project formed by Simon Neil of Biffy Clyro and JP Reid of Sucioperro has a strong opening with their first single "Rubber Lover" debuting at #12.

Lady GaGa is still strong enough at the top of the chart to hold off Depeche Mode's debut with Sounds Of the Universe. It remains Depeche Mode's strongest opening since 1997's Ultra topped the chart. Beyonce roars into the top 5 with her highest chart placing for I Am...Sasha Fierce on the strength of the single "Halo."
