Dip the scrub brush and sponge with a scrubber side into the cleaning solution. Test the mixture in an inconspicuous area to ensure that the solution doesn't discolor the vinyl flooring. Scrub in a circular motion until the build up begins to soften. - 3). Place the scrub brush and sponge into your cleaning solution and begin scrubbing the floor, with tight, circular motions, until the entire vinyl floor is free of build up. If you have a stubborn area of wax or other accumulated grime, you will need to pay extra attention and scrub with the scrubber side of the sponge in a back and forth movement until you soften the build-up.

Drain and refill the bucket with clean water; rinse and clean your scrub brush and sponge. Use the sponge to rinse the vinyl flooring of the cleaning solution residue. Always rinse your vinyl flooring of any cleaning solution you apply to spot clean during routine maintenance. Some cleaners, when left on the vinyl flooring, can discolor or stain your flooring. - 5). Use old towels or rags to thoroughly dry the vinyl flooring. Leaving pooled or puddled water standing on your vinyl flooring can damage it. Wipe the floor in a circular motion until all water is absorbed.
