    Making Veggie or Fruit Costumes

    • 1). Decide what veggie or fruit you want to be. If you want to be a pumpkin, get an orange T-shirt that is much bigger than your actual size. The bigger the shirt is, the bigger the shape can be. If you are going to be an onion, use a white or off white shirt.

    • 2). If you are going to be a pumpkin, draw a jack o lantern face on the orange shirt with a big marker, or paint it on with black fabric paint. With fabric glue, attach triangles along the color to create the top part of the pumpkin. If you are an apple, glue or sew on a giant leaf, and maybe a worm coming out of the side. If an onion, draw layers on with a gray or brown fabric marker or fabric paint.

    • 3). Put on the T-shirt that fits you and then put on the larger T-shirt. Pin the bottom of the large T-shirt to match the bottom of the fitted T-shirt.

    • 4). Sew the bottoms together. Fill the packing peanuts or cotton stuffing in between the large T-shirt and smaller T-shirt. Now sew or glue the top of the shirts together so that the stuffing doesn't come out. Try it on and have fun! This costume works well with jeans as well as black or white pants!

    Making a fairy costume

    • 1). Make sure you have a shirt that is big enough to fit you as a dress. This will be cut in a tinkerbell zig zag style. Put the shirt on and start making light marks with a marker at the bottom hem of the shirt to see how high you can cut without exposing too much skin!

    • 2). Take the dress off and cut the sleeves off. Cut the color off to allow for an off the shoulder look.

    • 3). Start cutting the bottom of the shirt in the zig zag leafy pattern. Put the dress on again. Now take a piece of ribbon or rope and tie it around your waist several times. You are done!

Creating the James Dean fifties look.

    • 1). First make sure you have a very fitted white T-shirt. This look also works well with a white tank top underneath. Put on your shirt and some well fitted jeans and black boots or black and white sneakers.

    • 2). Roll the sleeves of your tight white T-shirt up twice.

    • 3). Style your hair in a greaser fifties look and put a fake (or real) cigarette behind your ear. You are done! For an extra fifties greaser look, pair your white shirt on with a leather jacket.
