Self Control - Let Destiny Favour You

"The cyclone derives its powers from a calm centre.
So does a person.
" Norman Vincent Peale.
It has become the need of the hour for each one of us to practice self control.
Self control is all about bringing oneself in tandem with God and having control over the five vicious deadly tentacles of our soul.
These five distractions are Krodh (Anger), Lobh (greed), Moh (Attachment) Kaam (Lust) and Ahankaar (Self-Pride).
Self Control is all about harnessing these temptations and bringing them under our control.
An easy and basic life gives lots of happiness and the basis of life itself is not to be rich or to provide richness to your children, but it is much deeper.
A human being was created not to achieve a lot of things but rather he/she was created to enjoy the life on the earth as the Supreme Being above all other living beings.
Anger destroys any place it exists.
This is the biggest fact, in anger people do not realise what they are saying and what they are doing.
Hence the primary task towards controlling yourself is to keep your anger in control.
Yes it is easier said than done, but if genuine efforts are put we are not so weak that we will become prisoners of our anger.
The simplest way is to clasp your hands and remember a good situation.
ANGER WILL DISAPPEAR.
Greed is of different types and it can be controlled by incorporating a sense of contentment.
Contentment can easily be attained by making yourself aware that the body is perishable and the breaths which are free cannot be bought by any wealth.
What else would be more worthy to buy? Attachment with fellow beings is another thing which drives to sins like greed and cheating.
It is good to be helpful to fellow beings but they would also be contented if they see you happy and cheerful instead of being worried unnecessarily for mundane things.
Lust drives the sanest of men to commit serious crimes.
This feeling requires a lot of self control and realisation and can be controlled by diverting oneself to the services of God.
Pride is useless and it makes a person very weak and shallow.
Nothing in the world is worth being proud of, whether it is wealth, looks, intelligence, all can be gone in a moment.
Realising the fact that everything which we have is given by God and he is the sole owner of our assets would help us to bring into our controls the feeling of pride.
If people are no longer the prisoners of the five tentacles anger, greed, attachment, lust and pride then it is easy to have a grip on the destiny.
It is essential to loosen the grip of the five temptations and become a free individual in order to look ahead more clearly.
Finally when a person realises his own self worth the world around him starts to move on his orders.
The power of his determination will be strong enough to change the situation to his own benefit and hence lead him to the realisation of his 'dreams'.
