Which Is the Best Way to Level Up on "Magic the Gathering"?
- 1). Use lands that generate a large amount of colorless mana very quickly. Most Level Up abilities do not require a specific type of mana. Cards such as Urza's Power Plant, Mine and Tower allow you to build a mana base with the ability to both cast and level up creatures on the same turn.
- 2). Save your mana resources prior to casting the creature. Players can use the Level Up ability as soon as the creature hits the table, allowing you to quickly enhance the creature beyond its base ability.
- 3). Cast only one leveler per turn. This ensures that you always have a creature in play ready to use its Level Up ability. It also helps to absorb the losses if an opponent destroys a leveler before it has reached its maximum.
- 4). Activate the creature's Level Up ability until you run out of mana or it reaches the highest number printed on the card. Players may level a creature beyond its maximum level, but this provides no additional bonuses and wastes resources.
