How to Make a Gift Basket for Men
- 1). Include gifts that relate to his hobby. If he's a golfer, enclose a gift card to a pro shop, a club cleaner or something he'll use, such as tees and a box of golf balls. If he likes to barbecue, include tongs and other utensils or a selection of spices and a book of barbecue recipes.
- 2). Enclose work-related items like an executive toy, puzzle or pen holder for his desk. If he wears a suit to work, include a dress shirt and tie in colors that he likes, but doesn't typically choose for himself (see Resources below).
- 3). Add something entertaining like DVDs of his favorite movies or television shows. Find a "director's cut" of a movie or track down a rare compact disc from his favorite band. Include an assortment of his favorite snacks like nuts, popcorn, chocolate-covered pretzels and wine or beer that he can enjoy while watching or listening.
- 4). Let him enjoy his favorite sports team by including tickets to an upcoming game, a DVD of season highlights, a commemorative T-shirt or an autographed item from a favorite player.
- 5). Increase the value of the basket if you'd like to spend more by including a few gift cards to his favorite restaurants, movie theaters and shops. Organize a day where you can go shopping, see a movie and then head to dinner to spend time together.
- 6). Find a basket that will easily hold the assortment of gifts. Choose one that he can later use to hold items from his pockets like keys, change and a cell phone or that he can keep on his desk to house pencils, a stapler and frequently used supplies. Wrap the package with cellophane and tie with a piece of jute.
