Options for Natural Back Pain Relief

I've been bothered by a bad back for many years now.
Doctors haven't been able to pinpoint the source of the problem, so all they can tell me is to get a different mattress and desk chair and to be more aware of my posture.
On occasion, they offer to prescribe pain relief pills, but that's something I definitely don't want to get into.
I would much rather look for natural solutions to the problem, which is exactly what I've been doing for the past couple of weekends.
I'm actually encouraged by the results.
First, there are many supplements on the market that have proven to be successful at providing natural back pain relief.
Because there are so many out there, it wouldn't be economically feasible to try them all out, so I've been relying on customer reviews to guide me in this area.
If a supplement works for other folks, then it might work for me.
If others didn't have any success with the product in question, then it's unlikely I would do so.
Furthermore, I've learned that some of the key ingredients to look for in natural back pain relief supplements include things like Vitamin D, Vitamin B12, willow bark, Omega-3 fatty acids, and magnesium.
I don't mean that all of these ingredients should be found in the same supplement (that will never be the case); but if none of them are involved, then I won't waste my money.
A second option for natural back pain relief is physical therapy.
Sometimes all you need to do is stretch or strengthen the muscles near the site of the problem in order to experience improvement.
There are actually a number of stretching routines designed specifically to address these issues, so I plan on giving them a try at some point in the near future.
In addition, some people have reported positive results from adding yoga to their daily routine.
That's another idea for me to keep in mind.
And finally, many folks turn to acupuncture or chiropractic treatments as a form of natural back pain relief.
Some might dismiss the notion of acupuncture without giving it a second thought because they don't understand how sticking needles into the body could possibly help, but I've read some pretty convincing testimonials in the past couple of weeks and am now thinking it's worth a try.
I've been to a chiropractor before and didn't get the results I was after, but perhaps that's because I stopped after only two sessions.
Maybe I need to stick with it a bit longer this time around.
Anyway, these are some of the most common natural back pain relief alternatives that have worked for others.
I'm not going in expecting a miracle cure or anything like that, but I do have renewed hope that I'll soon be able to painlessly stand, sit, walk, or lie down for long periods.
One of these options has to work for me!
