Cristiano Ronaldo S Latest Nike Football Boots
It's a spotted deer.. It's a leopard... It's Cristiano Ronaldo's latest football boot!
Cristiano Ronaldo launched the Nike CR Mercurial Vapor SuperFly II boot in October 2010. The new football boot combines high performance innovation and heritage of the Nike Safari print. Inspired by Ronaldo's lightning speed and style on and off the pitch, this boot is really something else .... it offers a unique all-over print.... something that not everyone can pull off!
Based on Nike's Air Safari running shoe designed in 1987 (which incidentally had an ardent following for its striking design), the Nike CR Mercurial Vapor SuperFly II boot is bound to cause quite a stir in the football boot community. Whilst some may consider it eye-catching and unique, others are wondering if this is taking fashion in football a little bit too far. Imagine a massive orange Nike tick logo on a background which looks like a cross between a leopard and polka dots. All over.. ... on the entire boot and even the shoelaces. Yes.... this is what Nike has come up with for Ronaldo,s new boots.
However, looks and all set aside.... the Nike Mercurial Safari CR7 boots are one of the most technically advanced boots ever created. Nike has created a boot that combines a unique one piece upper with a traction configuration sole plate, thanks to nearly four years of research, analysis, studies and player testing. These boots feature stronger and tougher performance upper which will help improve on field visibility. The outsole has been re-engineered to deliver lightweight performance.
It features the unique Nike Sense adaptive traction system where the studs in the forefoot can extend and retract by up to 3 mm based on ground conditions and pressure exerted by the player. Nike Flywire is used to form the upper, which increases the range of motion while locking the foot to the sole plate, improving performance. The boots have directionally positioned blades which maximize cutting and allow for quick changes of direction, and secondary toe traction which provides added toe off power. These boots are designed for speed!
So with all these features, we can safely state that these football boots are one of the fastest, most innovative and technologically advanced boots to hit the pitch. Do they compliment Cristiano Ronaldo? Absolutely. But will it compliment the entire football community? Would you buy something that looks this controversial?
