    Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Ornament

    • Use an old burnt-out outdoor bulb to make a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer ornament. Paint the bulb if it is clear. Any color works. Hot glue two googley eyes to the bulb or paint on eyes. Glue on a red pom-pom for the nose. Twist pipe cleaners around the socket part of the bulb for antlers. Glue on felt ears. You can add horns or a bit and bridle. Tie fishing line or wire around the socket for a hook.

    Witch

    • Decorate a regular sized light bulb to look like a witch. Paint the bulb with either a skin tone or green. Paint on the face or use a hot glue gun to glue on the features. You can use googley eyes, felt or pipe cleaners to make the facial features. After the paint and glue dry, glue on hair. Hair can be any color. Use raffia, yarn or paper to make hair. Make a hat out of felt by cutting out a cone. Glue the sides of the cone together. Glue the hat on. If you want, cut out a brim and attach it. Add any features you want to the witch.

    Hanging Vase

    • Cut the bottom off an incandescent light bulb to make a vase. Use a small saw the remove the piece. File down the rough metal to avoid cuts. Free the bulb of all debris and rinse it out. After the bulb is cleaned and dried, decorate it. You can paint the outside of the bulb, glue stuff to it, add stickers or anything else you can think of. After the bulb is decorated, use wire cutters to cut a long wire. Wrap the middle of the wire around the bottom of the bulb. Use the ends to hang the bulb. Fill it with water and add flowers. You can also fill it with dirt and add a few seeds for a starter planter.
