How to Locate a DSL
- 1). Contact your local telephone company. Verizon and AT&T, for example, are two telecommunications companies in the United States that offer DSL coverage. Numerous phone companies offer DSL, and you might be able to get a discounted package deal if you are already a subscriber of the company's telephone service.
- 2). Visit your local library, and read the local computer magazines. These magazines will usually have DSL service provider advertisements. Note any good deals you find, and contact the service provider.
- 3). Ask your neighbors if they use DSL and what provider they use. Your neighbors may already be using DSL, and they can tell you how to get connected in no time. You might even make new friends.
- 4). Contact a local government agency if you reside in the countryside. It might be able to help you find a good, affordable DSL provider.
