How to Make a Cinched Bow on a Pillow
- 1). Cut two pieces of fabric to your desired bow length, adding 1 inch to the width and length of each for the seam allowance.
- 2). Iron the fabric onto the interfacing and cut out the pieces again.
- 3). Pin the pieces together, wrong sides out, and straight stitch around all but the last 6 inches of the bow.
- 4). Turn the bow right side out and stitch the remaining part.
- 5). Iron the bow flat for a crisp look.
- 6). Thread a needle and hand stitch down the middle of the bow, spacing the stitches about 1/4 inch apart. Pull the thread tight to cinch the bow.
- 7). Fold an extra scrap of fabric in half and cut out a tube for the middle of the bow. Turn the fabric right side out and stitch the end closed.
- 8). Iron the tube to make it crisp and wrap it around the cinched part of the bow. Hand sew it closed.
