How to Grow Banana Trees for Hydroponic Systems
- 1). Set the submersible pump into the bottom of the container. Connect the pump to the timer outside of the container. Set the grow rocks across the bottom of the container, over the pump.
- 2). Fill the 5-gallon container with water. Bend the wire over the side of the bucket to secure it, and then raise the wire to 12 inches above the water. Bend the wire straight over the water, making a loop for the twine to knot onto.
- 3). Cut a 2-inch circle within the center of the Styrofoam, then place it within the bucket rim. Trim slightly so it is snug and will remain secure. The twine should reach to the center hole.
- 4). Set the seedling within the Styrofoam, submersing its roots in the water. Use the string to secure the seedling to the wire to help support it in the water. Do not tie too tight.
- 5). Place your container under a full sun window or a grow light if available.
