Easter events in Memphis
Memphis will have plenty of unique Easter events and menus available this week.
The SRVS Kids & Families 2015 Bunny Run 5K will be held April 4 at 9 a.m. at Audubon Park. The 5K and 1-mile family fun run/walk will support SRVS Kids & Families.
Collierville’s Easter Bunny Hop will be held April 3 from 10:30 a.m. to noon on the Historic Town Square. The annual event will feature the Music Man performing in the Gazebo, a visit with the Easter bunny, face painting, games and balloon artists.
Dixon Gallery and Gardens will hold an Easter egg hunt April 4 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The hunt begins at 10:45 a.m. Reservations are required. Members pay $8, nonmembers pay $10.
Memphis Botanic Garden will host a Family Egg Hunt on April 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Children’s age-specific hunts take place at designated times: ages 2 and younger 2:30 p.m.; ages 3 to 5, 2:45 p.m.; ages 6 to 9, 3 p.m. A family egg hunt throughout the 96 acres of the garden continues from 1 p.m. until all eggs are found. Before and after hunts, enjoy a magic show, live music, and children’s crafts and activities. Photos with the Easter bunny and concessions are available at additional cost.
Shelby Farms Park will hold eco Eggstravaganza as part of the 2015 Shelby Farms Park Earth Day celebrations on April 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature eco egg hunts, the Go Ape TreeTop Adventure Course, kids fishing rodeo, nature hikes, live music, food trucks and more.
The Peabody hotel will hold an Easter brunch on April 5 from 10:30 a.m.
to 3:30 p.m. on the Mezzanine level. The price is $64 for adults and $22 for children ages5 to 12. It will features hundreds of items, including hot and cold breakfast dishes, a children’s station, a carving station featuring ham and lamb, and a 32-foot-long dessert table.
Eighty3 food & drink will offer unique Easter specials on Easter Sunday in addition to a regular brunch menu. Families can enjoy an Easter Sunday brunch with the following shareable plates by new executive chef Max Hussey: Andouille sausage Easter pie with tomato crème fraiche and basil salad; and brown sugar smoked ham with potato gratin, grilled asparagus and classic Bearnaise. Special desserts will be available, including coconut cream pie with cardamom chocolate sauce, lemon pound cake with cream cheese icing and raspberry coulis, and carrot cake ice cream sandwiches with ginger ice cream and lime caramel dipping sauce.
