First take an initial reading of your height, weight, body composition, and most importantly take note of your clothing sizes and how they fit.

Make sure you set short term goals and long term goals so you can gauge all your progress.
Take into account all your previous measurements especially taking into consideration your clothes and how they fit.

Usually that is the first thing that you will notice.

Keep your partner motivated to work out, and don't let him/her quit.
The more you keep the energy up between both of you, the better the results you will have.

Clean up your diet.
Start by cutting out fast food and carbonated beverages.
