How to Use Bamboo Flooring on Walls

    • 1). Clean and remove wall imperfections to prepare the surface for installation. It's very important to have a flat, clean surface. Any uneven surface areas on the wall could cause the bamboo flooring to warp over time.

    • 2). Select a starting point to begin installation. For best results, work left to right and begin at the bottom edge of the wall, working your way to the end of the wall and then returning to the left side.

    • 3). Line the first piece of bamboo flooring up against the wall and secure it to the wall with a nail gun and flooring staples. You'll want to apply the staples to the joint areas so that the staples will be hidden once the next piece of flooring is installed.

    • 4). Stagger the bamboo flooring so that the seams of each panel don't line up with the sections above and below it. While this is more important to flooring installation to reduce the risk of movement, it also creates more aesthetic appeal. Cut the first piece of flooring on each level at different lengths, using a miter saw.

    • 5). Install trim at each edge to hide any cuts made to the bamboo flooring and any gaps in between the bamboo flooring and wall edges. This will frame out your newly installed bamboo flooring wall and create a clean, professional look.
